Driveway Cleaning & Sealing

Driveway cleaning for block paving, concrete, tarmac and natural stone across Stockport, Greater Manchester and nearby Cheshire towns. Re-sanding and sealing are available where they suit the surface.

  • Cleaning for common driveway surfaces
  • Re-sanding for block-paving joints
  • Optional sealing where suitable

What to expect

Remove built-up dirt and growth

Cleaning lifts moss, weeds, tyre marks and general weathering. Oil and rust may need separate treatment and cannot always be removed completely.

Re-sand block paving where needed

After cleaning, kiln-dried sand can be brushed into suitable block-paving joints.

Consider sealing after cleaning

Where suitable, sealing can help reduce staining and make routine maintenance easier.

  1. 01

    Check the surface

We look at the material, drainage, stains and joint condition before deciding how to clean it.

  2. 02

    Clean at a suitable pressure

The pressure and attachments are chosen for the driveway material and its condition.

  3. 03

    Re-sand where needed

Once suitable block paving is dry, kiln-dried sand can be brushed back into the joints.

  4. 04

    Apply sealant if requested

If sealing is suitable, we agree the product and finish with you before it is applied.

Getting a quote

  • Send your postcode and a few clear photos of the area
  • Include rough measurements if you have them
  • Tell us about access, an outdoor tap and any obvious damage
  • Mention if you are interested in sealing or re-sanding

How long does driveway cleaning and sealing take?

Timing depends on the size, condition and access. If sealing is included, the surface must be fully dry before the product is applied.

Will sealing change the colour of my driveway?

It can, depending on the product. We discuss the finish with you before any sealant is applied.

How often should sealing be repeated?

That depends on the product, surface and amount of traffic. It is better to inspect the coating than rely on a fixed schedule.

Can every mark be completely removed?

Not always. Age, porosity, previous treatments and the source of a stain affect the result. Once we have seen the surface, we will explain what is realistic and may suggest a small test area.

What if the surface is already damaged?

Loose pointing, failing coatings, cracked materials and unstable joints need to be identified before cleaning. We will discuss whether cleaning should be adjusted, delayed or avoided.
