What to expect

Bring back the colour of the paving

Removing surface dirt and growth can make the natural variation in stone, porcelain or concrete much easier to see.

Remove algae and moss

Cleaning removes visible organic growth and the grime that builds up across exposed and shaded areas.

Work around delicate areas

Pressure is reduced around fragile pointing, loose joints and other areas that need extra care.

  1. 01

    Check the paving

We look at the slab material, pointing, drainage and any existing damage before cleaning.

  2. 02

    Treat problem areas if needed

Some algae, staining or grease may need a suitable treatment before cleaning.

  3. 03

    Clean the main surface

The patio is cleaned at a pressure suited to the material, with care taken around edges and joints.

  4. 04

    Rinse and tidy

We rinse the area, tidy the edges and explain any drying or aftercare needed.

Getting a quote

  • Send your postcode and a few clear photos of the area
  • Include rough measurements if you have them
  • Tell us about access, an outdoor tap and any obvious damage
  • Mention if you are interested in sealing or re-sanding

Can you clean porcelain patios?

Porcelain can be cleaned, but the method and products must suit the paving and grout. We check both before work starts.

Will patio jet washing disturb the pointing?

Loose or fragile pointing can be disturbed by cleaning. We identify problem areas first and explain what may need repair.

How soon can I use the patio after cleaning?

That depends on the weather, shade and drainage. We will let you know if a treatment or sealer needs extra drying time.

Can every mark be completely removed?

Not always. Age, porosity, previous treatments and the source of a stain affect the result. Once we have seen the surface, we will explain what is realistic and may suggest a small test area.

What if the surface is already damaged?

Loose pointing, failing coatings, cracked materials and unstable joints need to be identified before cleaning. We will discuss whether cleaning should be adjusted, delayed or avoided.
